No highs above 40° in #Cincinneti? Some seeing snow this weekend? THIS WEATHER SUCKS!
November 27, 2025 at 5:02 AM
The next two days are dry but cold. Some see snow this weekend. The next two days are good for raking. Wind chills are in the teens and 20s Thursday morning and rise into the 20s and 30s tomorrow afternoon. The wind is noticeable the next five days.
November 27, 2025 at 3:01 AM
The sky is clear to partly cloudy tomorrow morning, and a mix of sun and clouds is forecast tomorrow afternoon. Plan for a mix of sun and clouds Friday, scattered rain and snow showers Saturday, and showers on Sunday.

As of 3pm, the temperature in Cincinnati is 39°. That's 18° below where it was 24 hours ago...but we'll be lucky to see 39° between Thanksgiving day and Wednesday! Reports of flurries are increasing to the west, so I'll add those into the evening forecast with this update.

Many have seen wind gusts of 40+ mph so far today, and gusts up to 50mph are a concern through this evening. Despite some reports of flurries in the northern Tri-State in the last hour, the likelihood of flurries is low this afternoon. I'll keep us cloudy through this evening based on trends.

I'm a meteorologist and graduated from Penn State. I know many meteorologists. But it's weird that I have never even heard of one of the chief meteorologists just hired in Cincinnati. And they are older than me and went to Penn State. 🤔

Thursday and Friday are good days to get your raking done. Wednesday is a windy day. Enjoy the dry time the next 3 days. Our next shot at snow is Saturday. Wind chills are in the 30s and 40s Wednesday morning and drop into the 20s and 30s tomorrow afternoon.
November 25, 2025 at 10:31 PM
This is the warmest moment you'll experience in the next 7 days. Another cold front to the west will bring sct'd showers to the Tri-State tonight and early tomorrow. Wind will crank in the wake of the showers. Peak gusts will be ~50mph in the northern Tri-State tomorrow and 45mph elsewhere.

Radar shows the morning slug of rain will exit the Tri-State in the next two hours. One cold front is clearing the Tri-State, but there's another to the west that will keep scattered showers around this afternoon, evening, and through early Wednesday.

As to those “others [that] are being explored” — HRRRCast v2 is just about ready to go, with more variables and levels in the training (and thus the output), to be followed quickly by v3, a true 3-km AI model. More soon!

The forecast through tonight is in good shape. Showers will gradually increase in coverage through sunrise tomorrow. I will flatline temperatures this evening as low-level moisture increases and as low pressure over the Plains approaches.
