In the Santa Clause series, one of the things that caused me a little distress was the whole "Mrs. Claus" bit. Santa must have a bride, so, where did the wife of the guy Tim Allen replaced go?

Was she just torn from existence as immortality vanished?

A Swedish startup called Corvid Cleaning has launched a brilliant eco experiment in Södertälje, where wild New Caledonian crows are being trained to collect litter in exchange for food. Using a smart device that dispenses a food pellet whenever a crow drops a cigarette butt or small piece of trash into a slot, the birds quickly learn to clean their surroundings with incredible efficiency. Cigarette butts are among the most common litter items on Earth, and this pilot program could save cities significant time, money, and labor. With crows already known for their intelligence and problem solving skills, this innovative partnership between birds and technology may become a powerful new tool in the fight against pollution.

I don't have the crayons to explain this to some: we could HAVE IT ALL. We could have universal healthcare, affordable housing, free university/skills training for all, free childcare, a comfortable living wage, even elder care. And it wouldn't cost you a cent more than you're paying now. It just requires us, as a country, to make the folks profiting off our backs to pay their taxes. To just pay what they currently owe on time. If you aren't mad yet, you should be.
