Why go to the trouble of recording my buttons on database ....
Because I can print out some nice labels, for display, and duplicate storage 😁

Another item saved from the scrap box.
Took some careful annealing and straightening (tiny steps), and another barrel session.
And after googling, discovered I had a second part (crown/Ubique part)

Now a very presentable

Another batch out of the tumbler. Most of this was destined for scrap, just wanted to bulk up the mix a bit.

Most of the coins were beyond identification, so surprised to see a William and Mary. There's also an 18th century token in there. More work required on that one.

Not a bad couple of hours in the field. A few keepers in there today.
Very happy to find my 2nd & 3rd hammered of 2026 😁

I'll hang about in this area today for a few hours. To my left Iron Age gold has surfaced, and to my right, Georgian gold has made an appearance.
So today, I expect to find nothing 😂

2nd batch out of the tumbler.

About 5 hours using household cleaning compound

It really has brought these normally ignored items back to life.

And the advertising buttons have really surprised me. There are a few that are marked on the reverse. I'd never noticed this before.
