Sending hugs from me, snuggles from Gimli-beagle, and very good purrs from Beren
Also had a (Great-) Aunt on Mom's side, who AFAIK wasn't related in any way but was a sister to Grandma. She was Aunt CiCi to Mom and her sisters, so she was my Aunt CiCi, too.

Continuing the tradition, @knittingkitten.bsky.social is my sister, forget that "in-law" nonsense.
I almost never called Bette "Aunt Bette", because of (Great-) Aunt Betty. My much younger siblings, who never knew Aunt Betty, do. It still confuses me occasionally!
Dad and his sister had an Aunt Betty, who was an aunt-by-blood. She was the black sheep of the family. My aunt/Dad's sister Bette insisted on that spelling of her name because she didn't want to be associated with Aunt Betty. AFAIK Uncle Al was a much more popular family member than Aunt Bette.
Ob Relatively-Relatives Post:

Dad's Uncle Al Scott. Lived next door to my grandpa's family when they were all kids. When Al's parents died he merged into our family. "Scott" was his legal surname, but it effectively became part of a hyphenated first name. Uncle Al was family.
Yeah, the "shirttail relations" on Dad's side of the family were related . . . somehow. We got along, and saw them a couple times a year, but untangling *how* the relating went was a whole thing. :)
Yes, I slapped Thord on the shoulder. Observe his distress. The pain, the trauma, the “oh, did you say something Mumther?”.

The big babies regularly body-slam each other on un-carpeted floors. And this is tame compared to huskies playing “Rip Your Throat Out”. 😏
Round 2, with distraction from Jack, the neighbor dog
Moth Ball is off on a big adventure! Many thanks to our local postmaster for her help with customs forms, the USPS website was fighting me. Moth Ball actually left on Wednesday, but getting my flu and Covid shots earlier that day wiped me out and fried my brain. Have fun and Moth Ball!
So excited! Only a week to go until the @OinkPigments trunk show!

Oooh! They look like they’ve got nice fairly standard cat facial structure, too!

I’m have a weakness for seal points. 🥰
Grumble grumble grumble, forgot to start steel-cut oats for tomorrow, and don’t feel like trekking back downstairs. Maybe I’ll do cream of rice in the morning.
Finally wove in all the ends on my Bellini Bubbles Shawlette, by PDX Knitterati. This is an assigned pooling pattern, yarn dyed by Created 4 U by Laura. After the first repeat I switched to the green & white yarn for the eyelet sections. I really like how it turned out with the green stripes.
Carpet pythons and Childrens’ pythons are my favorite sneks!
Got new, larger, slow-feeder bowls for the big babies a couple weeks ago. This how Thord eats. 🥰

Loki will do an occasional lap, nothing like this goober.
Sending little head kisses and lots of snuggles!
Mothman! Crochet pattern by @craftyintentions - from a 5 cute critters set. The pattern antennae weren’t doing it for me, so I did my own thing. Wanted to make him solid black, but it was too hard to see the stitches, so I marled black and charcoal grey.
Agreed! I’ll look for a video if I need/want it, but for the love of little furry creatures, let me start with words and pictures!
My big babies, napping behind the desks with me while Dracos is out of the house.
Ok, word from parents is update/more detail on bare-bones of some news from a few days ago. Fuck Cancer.

(extended family, but some of my favorites)
I spent 30 years with state government reviewing other people's models, so tinkering with one and making it work feels like an accomplishment. 😆

Aaaaand now I've been told to text the parents, ruh-roh...
