Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Review: Nearly grazing greatness
Budget tablets have been limited for a long time, but the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro bucks that trend with a concrete blend of competence and convenience.

Having read a lot of tributes today, the @theguardian.com entry on Vettriano comes across as extraordinarily mean spirited. Reduced in death to what his critics didn’t like, with an aside ‘but he sold well’ - maybe explore why that was the case? www.theguardian.com/artanddesign...
Jack Vettriano: ‘His paintings are like a double cheeseburger in a greasy wrapper’
The Scot painted singing butlers, ‘broads’ in bras and tough guys in suits, in works critics found lurid, chintzy, devoid of irony and often sexist. But they were also hugely popular – showing the pow...

Finally deleted X/Twitter from my phone after 16 years. The deluge has been…too much. More than humanly possible to wade through, by design too clearly. Hopefully here won’t go the same way with time…

My favourite trend with professional apps is their unexpected and unwanted redesigns. You know that button you like and use every day? Say goodbye and get used to something that’s a different colour and in a different place with a different name, for no other reason than spite.

My secret suspicion is that Microsoft has totally lost the plot. There’s not even a customer for whom this exists, it’s been produced in a vacuum by a marketing/engineering department with no clear idea of why or who buys Microsoft.

My review of the Gamesir X2S for Pocket Lint - a great controller that’s just a little too small - www.pocket-lint.com/gamesir-x2s-...
This $50 mobile controller is cheap, and might remind you of a Nintendo Switch
The GameSir GameSir X2S is cheap, but it does what it is supposed to, provided you don't mind its small stature.
