Just keep in mind it can be difficult for us to know the exact date of a document for a variety of reasons. There’s no standard way that all site owners use to indicate a publishing or republishing date. Some provide no dates at all on web pages. Some might not indicate if an older page is updated.
searchliaison.bsky.social
We have before: and after: operators that are still in beta. You must provide year-month-day dates or only a year. You can combine both. For example:

[avengers endgame before:2019]
[avengers endgame after:2019-04-01]
[avengers endgame after:2019-03-01 before:2019-03-05]

This doesn't stop you from using the News tab, and AI Overviews don't appear on that. You can just tab to whatever mode you prefer.
searchliaison.bsky.social
We don't have a setting like that, but if you don't want search features such as AI Overviews, select the Web filter at the top of the page (or find it under More)

There is. Use quotes. I suspect you understand how they work, but here's a blog post about it on how we changed our snippets to better highlight exact terms appearing on pages when quotes are used blog.google/products/sea...
How we're improving search results when you use quotes
How snippets in Google’s search results are being improved by forming them around where quoted words or phrases occur in a web document.

AI Mode in Google Search uses a custom version of Gemini to issue related searches. This "query fan-out" technique finds real-time info from the web, our Knowledge Graph & more. This provides a greater breadth & depth of info than a traditional Google search. Learn more: blog.google/products/sea...

I realize you meant [claire vuissent site:nwn.blogs.com] from looking at your first post -- that other domain doesn't work. I did that, and it seems to find pages that match? Do you still get an AI Overview showing for this?
searchliaison.bsky.social
Would you mind sharing the exact query, so I can forward it to the team, and we can explore it more?

To what John said, we make lots of changes all the time and don't do formal announcements of them. Sometimes, we're asked about some changes, and we might confirm things people have seen. That's a confirmation from us.
searchliaison.bsky.social
What happens is that if you use many search operators, AI Overviews might not show. In that case, you may prevent them, but you're also going to prevent any web page results that have "AI" on them from showing. Which may or may not be what you want

We don't have a default setting like that, but if you don't want search features such as AI Overviews, select the Web filter at the top of the page (or find it under More)

Your outie found a surprise by typing [Severance] into the Search bar and clicking on the party horn.

There's no proactive option to turn off search features like AI Overviews. You can use Web after doing a search to disable all features, including them. If you don't see the Web option, you'll find it under More.

Sorry it's not available in your area. Here's the list where it's currently supported, by country and language: US (en, es), GB (en), IE (en), AU (en), CA (en, fr), ZA (en), BR (en, pt), MX (en, es), ES (en, es), FR (en, fr), SE (en, sv), TH (en, th), IN (en, hi), ID (en, id)

Gemini is a separate service from Google Search. My assumption is that perhaps you dislike AI Overviews in Search (which use a version of Gemini). If you prefer not to see AIO, you can use the Web link that disables all search features, including AIO. If it's not visible, you'll find it under More

AI Overviews are getting a Gemini 2.0 upgrade and expanding to more people. Plus, we’re introducing a new experimental AI Mode. Learn more here: blog.google/products/sea...

And glitches do happen. Search has a lot of moving parts. But hopefully this reassures business owners using these attributes (and those finding them useful in Search & Maps) that they still are supported. Thank you.
searchliaison.bsky.social
Thank you. It might be related to what I said here for some people, if they tried going from a list. I could see this happen myself -- I'd see it for a business going direct, going from a list, sometimes About didn't show bsky.app/profile/sear...
searchliaison.bsky.social
The About option might not appear in some cases when navigating to a business via a list of places. We’re looking into this more. But that doesn’t mean the attributes aren’t supported (About shows much more than these attributes).
searchliaison.bsky.social
We didn't make any change to restore them, as they weren't removed and still supported, but I'm glad you're seeing them! We'll check more to see if there was some data center issue or something on our end.
searchliaison.bsky.social
Sorry, I missed that -- replied to your reply to will keep the follow up in that one!
searchliaison.bsky.social
If you feel comfortable sharing examples, happy to look into it more. I don't see a way to DM here if you don't want to name a business. If there's another route to reach you, let me know. But they are supported.
