Sweet Huey has been learning new things on his shelter break! His foster parents have been helping him with his crate skills and slowly introducing him to new friends.
He would love to continue working on his skills and get lots of belly rubs in a new home!

We saw 78 adoptions this past week! Longer-stay sisters Sierra and Saffron joined their new family along with lots of other furry friends like Burton, Pretzel and Mumu.

Zamboni is ready for adoption! This 5-year-old pit bull mix is taking a foster break and enjoying sunny days, soft blankets and plenty of toys.

He is a friendly, playful pup who has been around children and would love to meet any other dogs in the home.

We’re happy to share that we saw 54 adoptions over the past week. Lots of kitties like Luna joined new families, and social media stars Bowser, Kimba and Oreo went off to new homes, too!

Cute fluff alert! 12-year-old Carter has been spending some quality time with our Executive Director Jessie Swisher Spiers while he waits to go to his new home. Jessie says, “He’s silly, snuggly and very treat motivated!” He loves walks and getting lots of pets.

Sleigh has been slaying the fashion game on his foster break! This friendly, gentle boy loves snuggles and sniff-filled walks. He’s working on his leash skills, but he knows “sit” and “this way,” and he’s done well meeting other dogs on campus.

Maxine may be a senior gal, but she’s got permanent puppy eyes. This affectionate pup loves pets and spending time with her people. She's also still up for some play!

Pound for pound, we’ve got some of the cutest and cuddliest critters around weighing in for this year’s Clear the Shelters! We’re running an adoption special all month long where the fee for dogs 50+ pounds is just $1 per pound and $1 per pound for cats 1+ years old.

With all due respect to the fine folks in Seattle, it's actually a Hot Cat Summer! They made up 107 of our 148 adoptions last week and, yes, that is a lot of kitties!! But 41 dogs ain't too shabby either. We got lots more shelter pets still looking for their families, so the cuteness continues!

Puppy and kitten adoptions really heat up during the summer, but please don't forget about the amazing senior pets looking for homes. They are often calmer, come with more training under their collars and have well-established manners and personalities!

Thank you to KIRO 7 News for helping us spread the word about this ongoing scam targeting owners of lost pets. We hope this reduces the number of folks falling victim to this terrible crime. Be sure to get your pets microchipped, which is something a scammer would never be able to guess!
