Sébastien Fath is a French professional historian and a Ph.D. at the Sorbonne University. Also trained in Sociology, he is the main French specialist in the study of Evangelical Protestantism. Author of sixteen books, he is a permanent researcher at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). He is a full member of the GSRL, a research team working on religion and secularism. This came in today on divine healing in central Africa (Congo and Gabon). Together, these two countries have some 30 million Pentecostals/Charismatics.

There’s also an entire chapter on Mami Wata, the female water spirit sometimes mentioned by Paula White-Cain and others (see ch. 3 of my book).
