I literally run an event for SECULAR homeschoolers. I spend a lot of time around homeschoolers. Yes, there are fundamentalist homeschoolers. But we're not all religious, republican, racist, etc. If you spent a moment to look at the content we post, you'd see that our group is the opposite of that.

Our event supports queer families, those with disabilities, and kids with disabilities, people of color, and other who don't fit in the public school mold. In 2025, all sorts of people homeschool, and we're here for them.

We never said all homeschoolers are progressive. We said our organization is completely secular. In NC, where we hold our event, half of registered homeschools are NOT religious.

Homeschooling is how some kids with disabilities best access their education.

It's how some LGBTQ families avoid stresses caused by "Don't Say Gay" bills.

It's how some actors, athletes, etc make school work with their busy schedules.

Judging something you don't understand is what's idiotic.
