the culture surrounding game remakes and remasters is the best example of this. can you imagine a cinephile saying that you shouldn't watch the original lion king because the remake looks better? "games are art" is going to remain a hard sell until gamers start emotionally engaging with games as art

quickly cross referencing cyl9 and cyl10 results, and i'm suddenly less saddened by sumia's placement. basically every character outside the top 20 has between 30% and 60% fewer votes this year
she's only down one placement compared to last year, but with 169 fewer votes 😭😭 feh and cyl are falling off like crazy
sad that i couldn't rally enough people to keep her vote count trending upwards. she'd be 72nd if she got 441 this year!! the propaganda will be crazy next year istg 🫡
