Takara's 1998 redeco brings a more show-like look to the original Beast Wars warrior A new Beast Wars gallery has arrived with a full look at Takara's 1998 C-4 redeco of Dinobot. This follow-up to Takara's 1997 release updated the colors to better match his animated appearance, including a tan beast mode, metallic blue robot details, white dinosaur eyes, and a gold helmet. His spinning cyber-slash tail weapon and sword return as well, storing cleanly on his back in robot mode. Dinobot stands as one of the most memorable characters from Beast Wars, defined by his strict code of honor, his rivalry with Rattrap, and the impact he had on the Maximal and Predacon conflict. This Takara edition highlights the evolution of the mold during the height of the line's popularity in Japan. Fans can explore other Dinobot figures, including his original Hasbro release, various BotCon exclusives, Transmetal 2, Universe 2.0, and more. If you thought Titan class prices were already too much at $200, well, we've got some bad news. Power of the Primes Predaking and Legends Evolution Nemesis are getting new reissues through fan channels in 2026. For Predaking this will be its first since the initial release in 2018. Unfortunately, it won't be sold at 2018 ($160) or 2023 ($200) prices. No, it seems for 2026 we'll be seeing the price of large Titans increase to a whopping $230 for Predaking and $240 for Nemesis! That's a lot during hard times. This means that we'll have seen Titans rise in price by nearly $100 since Metroplex was first released in 2013. Sure, they're better than eBay prices, but that's still a big ouch. Meanwhile, after much teasing by Evan on the Transformers design team, we're finally seeing Legacy Evolution Deluxe Breakdown return to retail! He's been the hardest to find of the modern combiners and fans have been begging for a second chance to get him. Of course that means he'll be priced at the current Deluxe price point of $28 which will be far better for fans than the obscene prices he goes for on eBay. Depending on the retailer listings these will all be released between April and June 2026 (there seems to be some disagreement here). As with any other reissues these won't see changes from their original releases including the packaging. As fan channel releases they won't be made available at regular retail and only found at the likes of Big Bad Toy Store, TFSource, Entertainment Earth and GameStop. Love them or hate them, Funko Pops have found a niche in Transformers collections, even now continuing to produce new figures based on our favorite robots. But that could end soon as Funko sounds the alarm that they're on the brink of shutting down as losses mount and debts become due. A third quarter financial report posted last week outlines loses from 2024 to 2025 that they claim are within expectations. The company is optimistically banking on a strong fourth quarter, largely because they'll be the only company with KPop Demon Hunter toys on shelves for the holidays, but also because Walmart named Funko Pops as a top toy for the season, This is in the face of what the same release reported as a $241 million debt (consisting of loans, credit and other debts). Despite the year over year losses, over the last 9 months they have seen a modest gain in cash. ($34.7 million on December 31, 2024 compared to $39.2 million on September 30, 2025.) Earlier in 2025 Funko announced they'd be cutting 20% of their workforce while in August they claimed US tariffs on China could be the end of them as prices climbed to match the new costs. Whether or not Funko can pull out of this is anyone's guess, but new CEO Josh Simon appears optimistic, stating it's, "clear how powerful the Funko brand is and how much growth opportunity lies ahead." We'll have to wait and see if more Pop Transformers show up in 2026 or if the Pop bubble will finally burst.

Transformers Collaborative Stranger Things Code Red Delivers a Slice of 80s Nostalgia for Stranger Things Day! November 6 marks Stranger Things Day, the annual celebration of the hit Netflix series that commemorates the date of Will Byers' disappearance in 1983 and the beginning of the show's supernatural events in Hawkins, Indiana. To mark the occasion, Hasbro recently revealed the Transformers x Stranger Things Collaborative Freakwency and 8-Trax set earlier today, and we're following it up today with a look back at the Stranger Things crossover that started it all - Code Red! Originally unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, Code Red merges two icons of the 1980s: the world of Stranger Things and the legendary Transformers. Code Red transforms from robot mode into an officially licensed Volkswagen Vanagon modeled after the Surfer Boy Pizza delivery van from the Netflix series. Despite the compact vehicle mode, he unfolds into a Voyager-Class-sized Autobot guardian ready to protect Hawkins from the Upside Down. This collaborative figure includes an axe, spiked bat, detachable Surfer Boy Pizza roof light that converts into a blaster, a pizza box accessory, and a Fire Blast effect. The axe and bat can connect into a two-ended weapon, while the blast effect and 5 mm ports allow for multiple display options in both modes. Seibertron.com proudly unveils our latest Transformers Collaborative gallery - the 2021 edition of Ectotron, inspired by the Ghostbusters: Afterlife film! The crossover between Cybertron and the supernatural continues with this redeco and slight retool of the original figure, now featuring a movie-inspired aged and rusted Ecto-1 design from Ghostbusters: Afterlife. This updated version gives the Autobot ghostbuster a more seasoned look with cracked Ghostbusters logos and plenty of paranormal wear and tear. While the first Ectotron was released in 2019 as part of the debut Transformers Collaborative lineup, this later version adjusts several details to better reflect the on-screen vehicle. The car's roof ladder has been moved to the left side, and the robot mode debuts a new head sculpt with lowered goggles and a raised face shield. He still transforms into a licensed 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor ambulance, and his proton pack continues to form from the roof-mounted equipment. The figure also includes an unpainted translucent green Slimer figurine - identical to the one packed with the 2019 figure - and introduces a new ghostly partner, Muncher, molded in translucent blue plastic. Ectotron was first offered as a Target exclusive in the United States, going up for preorder on November 13, 2020, before later appearing as a Toyworld exclusive in New Zealand. Just in time for the spookiest night of the year, our latest addition to the Transformers Collaborative galleries sinks its fangs into the lineup with Draculus! The ninth figure released in the Collaborative line, Draculus is a retool of Titans Return Mindwipe and transforms into a robotic bat. This mash-up brings Universal’s 1931 Dracula to life through a sculpt that specifically captures Bela Lugosi’s iconic portrayal of the Count. His robot mode features a sculpted tuxedo, a soft-goods cape, and a black-and-white deco inspired by the classic black-and-white film. Draculus includes a blaster, his "Impaler Claw" weapon, and a removable cloth cape that can be worn in both robot and bat modes. His new head and torso replace the Headmaster-style transformation of the original toy, so his head stays attached during transformation. The cockpit from Mindwipe remains, but the interior is remolded and no longer fits a Titan Master figure. His weapons can still combine, and they can attach as a tail in bat mode when pegged into the 5mm port under his head. In true Collaborative fashion, even the packaging gets a horror twist. The box is designed to look like a VHS tape, complete with a slide-out sleeve that reveals the figure and insert artwork styled after an old video release. Draculus was released in late 2021 and remains a fan-favorite among crossover collectors. You can find listings for him currently on eBay. At the London MCM event, Hasbro has unveiled the remaining entry in the 2026 Transformers Timelines set. Megatron and Bumblebee will be the second two pack. Megatron now transforms into a boar--- armed to the teeth. Bumblebee is a flying squirrel complete with a dagger and sword. These two figures will be part of the deluxe size class, and similar to Optimus Prime and Starscream will be released in Samurai stylized packaging. These will be available exclusively through Hasbro Pulse. There has not been a date for release or preorders as of yet.

Seibertron.com adds another mash-up to our Transformers Collaborative galleries with Frankentron - a monstrous combination of Transformers and Universal's classic Frankenstein. The worlds of Transformers robots and Universal Monsters collide in the Universal Monsters Frankenstein x Transformers Frankentron mash-up. This Deluxe-class figure is a retool of Siege Impactor, converting from movie-inspired robot mode to a Cybertronian tank. In place of Impactor's turret cannon, Frankentron wields a large Tesla coil that can plug into his vehicle mode turret to form a lightning weapon. He also includes a purple lightning effect piece that attaches to the coil's end. Designed by Brian Parrish (Hasbro) with concept art by Emiliano Santalucia, the figure's sculpt draws directly from the 1931 Frankenstein film, featuring the monster's flat-topped head, neck bolts, and retooled hands that mimic his classic outstretched pose. The chest and thigh retooling emphasize the stitched-together, asymmetrical look worthy of Dr. Frankenstein's creation. Even the packaging plays along: the box resembles a VHS case with a slide-out tape tray, and the inner label written in Ancient Autobot translates to "Its alive." Hasbro has been over at MCM London Comic Con and giving fans an early first look at the upcoming Age of the Primes Commander Class Onslaught! YouTuber Toys Are Russ was spending time with the Hasbro Transformers team and given some alone time with the figure still in an early test stage to mess around with and check some of the finer details. Onslaught himself now makes up only the cab (which is a fully realized vehicle in itself) while the trailer forms the frame. Russ was able to get a lot of group shots to show off his size including one with Combiner Wars Onslaught. Russ was able to come back later to have some questions answered with Evan Brooks. In the second video we're shown that the tailer and cab do have a pivot between them making the full vehicle capable of turning and pivoting. Evan also confirmed that we'll be getting one combiner per year from here on. Evan also said that Ruination was a likely future box set, but also acknowledged that the Combaticons have a lot of repaint potential like Battle Gaia and that it would be a few years. Evan also still insists a Breakdown reissue is coming in the future.

One of the most highly anticipated upcoming figures in the Age of the Primes line is now in the hands of YouTuber Toys Are Russ from Hasbro directly for a limited time. Fan reactions have been fairly mixed, mostly due to his small stature for a Leader. Russ does make a few important observations that we may not have known or may not have been obvious from our early looks and stock pictures. Chief among them is he apparently has more heft to him over his vintage counterpart, owing a lot to his Leader price point. His bot mode might be short to some but he's still an overall larger figure than any Voyagers. He also has a number of parts that use 5mm posts such as the mounting points for his tusks and grappling hooks. And with that we also have a new set of pre-orders for the latest upcoming wave for 2026. This Pan-Generational lineup is/was available on Hasbro Pulse, Amazon and other online retailers! Here is what we have coming our way... Deluxe Class: Junkion Jalopy joins the Junkion Ranks, while Quintus Prime helps fill out the 13 Primes. Beast Wars gets some love with release of a new mold for the Fuzor Quickstrike. G1 of course has its offerings with the long awaited Targetmaster Sureshot, and Combaticon Blast Off. Voyager Brawl continues to fill out the Combaticon ranks. Wreck-Gar dares to be stupid in his animated inspired re-deco of Trashmaster. Amalgamous Prime becomes--- whatever your imagination desires... with a Shockwave face. Leader Big Convoy returns from Beast Wars Neo trying to recreate the original toy. Razor Claw returns as a repaint of Tiger Claw to remind us of the original Transformers Universe Line. We had heard that Robert Kirkman's Skybound Entertainment company was teaming up with Hasbro to make a cartoon series based on his Energon Universe, which contains GI Joe, Void Rivals and Transformers. Now, thanks to Deadline, we know who the showrunner will be. It is Joe Henderson, who worked on the Lucifer TV show. While the Energon Universe show it is currently in the works, we don't know who will pick it up. So the show is currently being shopped around and shown to companies like Amazon (which hosts Kirkman's Invincible show), Netflix and others. Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment has teamed with Hasbro Entertainment to produce Energon Universe, an adult animated series based on the comics of the same name created by Kirkman and published by Skybound. Joe Henderson (Lucifer) is attached to write the adaptation and serve as showrunner on the series, an epic crossover of G.I. Joe, Transformers and Void Rivals mythology, which is expected to be taken out to buyers shortly. Despite featuring the family-friendly Hasbro characters G.I. Joe and Transformers, the Energon Universe series will be broad, with adult sensibility in the vein of Kirkman’s gritty adult animated series Invincible, based on his comic, which has been a hit for Prime Video, renewed for Season 5 ahead of its Season 4 premiere next March. Comic book and TV writer Henderson previously served as showrunner on Lucifer, the successful Fox/Netflix TV series also adapted from comics. His TV credits also include White Collar and Almost Human.

Seibertron.com is celebrating Back to the Future Day (October 21st!) with a look at one of the most unique Transformers crossovers ever — Transformers Collaborative Gigawatt! This figure joins our growing lineup of Transformers Collaborative galleries, which also includes crossovers with Street Fighter, Ghostbusters, and Sonic the Hedgehog. Originally released in 2020, Gigawatt was the third figure in the Transformers Collaborative line and will return later this year as a Target exclusive in early December 2025. This time-traveling Autobot is an extensive retool of Siege Deluxe Class Sideswipe that transforms into a heavily customized DMC DeLorean representing the iconic vehicle from the Back to the Future film trilogy. In vehicle mode, his gull-wing doors can open and close, and a lightning rod can be added to the back to replicate the climax of the first film. He can also be converted to the hovercar mode seen at the end of the first movie and throughout the second by adding the “Mr. Fusion” generator and folding his wheels down. In robot mode, Gigawatt features a chest-mounted flux capacitor along with time circuits that display three dates — 1955, 1985, and 2015 — corresponding to the time periods Doc and Marty visited in the first two films. His knees also feature molded-in flux capacitors, while the lightning rod becomes a whip weapon. The Mr. Fusion accessory can be attached to his back or plugged into the top of his rifle, which bears a resemblance to Siege Optimus Prime’s blaster but is an all-new sculpt. Hasbro Asia is no stranger to their exclusive boxsets. Typically modern ones are the same as mass retail in special packaging like they did back during Power of the Primes with the Dinobots Volcanicus set. This time around appears to be no different with a new trio of sets in a presentation that matches retail figures with premium packaging and unexpected bonuses. Over the weekend Takara Tomy displayed all of their upcoming Transformers collector lines at the 2025 All Japan Model Hobby Show, many of which are still in their gray model form. Images below come from Dengeki Hobby Web. They have a lot more images than we can share here to give them a visit to see all five pages of pics. Synergenex Evangelion Unit-01 x Optimus Prime is a heavy retool of the already exclusive to Japan Legendary Optimus Prime figure from the Bumblebee movie. He features a head swap gimmick and includes weapons from the anime series. Overgear is a new line of original designs based on real world vehicles using top of the line engineering. The first two figures of the line are Ironhide and Blackout. We also have our first look at Masterpiece Movie Next MPMN-01 Sideswipe as he appeared in Dark of the Moon. He appears to include wheel effect parts. In a move that will be a surprise to nobody, the next Missing Link figure will be Delta Magnus partnered with Powerdrive. Also included in the galleries are pictures of upcoming figures from Studio Series, Age of the Primes, Masterpiece G, and Missing Link. Sorry to pile on some bad news but we wanted to warn you of potential breakage issues on the Armada Nemesis Prime which is now coming out. Multiple fans have posted images showing breakage on the Jetstorm minicon, especially in the chest area. Some have been out of the box while others occurred after a couple of transformations, like the images from Sparkimus Prime. What makes the breakage more heartbreaking is that this figure has a $90 USD price tag. So just be careful when yours comes in.
