We did not properly punish the confederates. We did not properly punish the insurrectionists on January 6th. We have to punish ICE.

They can’t be allowed to slink back into their communities quietly. Expose them. Arrest them. Convict them. Imprison them.

Anti-gen-AI folks get called "Luddites." Do you know who Luddites were? They weren't anti-tech—they destroyed machines in textile factories circumventing labor protections to harm workers. It was the only threat that made business owners listen to demands for fair treatment.

We need more Luddites.

The good advice about my AuDHD, cinnamon roll main character Beau I'm glad I DIDN'T take before I hit publish on A King's Trust:

The Good Advice I'm Glad I Didn't Take
When A King's Trust was in the editing phase, the first couple of beta readers immediately disliked Beau. "He's too much," they said. "He takes up too many causes, he gets too easily overwhelmed, he'...

Writers, feel my pain! Why aren't there more good synonyms for "laughed"? Like "giggled," "chuckled," "chortled," "guffawed"--these all have extremely specific use cases that usually aren't right.

While ferociously swordfighting a neighbor child, my 8yo called him a "rapscallion," a "miscreant," and a "dishonorable rogue."

I'm amused and delighted.

I post ONE video with the P&P 2005 hand flex & suddenly my FYP on every platform is nothing but thirst trap edits of Matthew Macfadyen's Darcy. Am I irritated about it??

...nah, that tall glass of autistic-coded silence can block the breaking news with his lil cravat and 10,000 a year any day.
a man in a black coat is standing in front of a window with the words " more silence " below him
Alt: Mr. Darcy, played by Matthew Macfadyen, in a black coat and cravat, stands awkwardly in front of a window and avoids eye contact, twisting his gloves in his hands, with the words 'more silence' beneath him.
