ICYMI: Wednesday, we marked 100 days since the June 30 budget deadline. Senate Democrats are ready to get a budget deal over the finish line and drive out necessary dollars for education, healthcare, economic development, and more. It's time for Senate Republicans to get serious and get this done.

Today is World Mental Health Day. As our friends and neighbors seek care for their minds, counties are struggling to provide adequate services due to the Senate Republican Budget Impasse. For our communities' mental health, we must get a budget deal done ASAP.

Don't just take it from us, take it from Governor Shapiro. The budget passed by the House on October 8 was a commonsense, bipartisan, compromise budget that the Senate Dems are prepared to vote on and the Governor is ready to sign. Senate Republicans could have ended this impasse...

Yesterday, the House passed a reasonable, compromise, bipartisan budget and sent it to the Senate for us to consider. While Senate Democrats were ready to dig in and do the work, Senate Republicans packed up and went home. That's unacceptable. We must finish a budget now.

Last Friday, I had a chance to visit the Western Pennsylvania School for the Blind and see the progress on their renovations! These folks provide wonderful educational opportunities for visually impaired and blind students, and I look forward to seeing the finished work soon.
