Yesterday, @governor.pa.gov addressed a joint session of the state Senate and House to outline his vision for this year’s state budget. It includes no tax increases, important investments in human service programs, infrastructure, and education, and initiatives to lower costs for Pennsylvanians.

Thrilled to see Greater Pgh Community Food Bank and This Generation Connect each receive $50,000 from PA DEP's Food Recovery Infrastructure Grant this week! This program helps reduce food waste while fighting hunger by helping nonprofits get fresh food to Pennsylvanians in need.

Today, the State House Judiciary committee unanimously passed the bill Rep. Markosek and I crafted expanding accountability for pet owners who choose to cremate their beloved pets. This is a major step as we work to protect pet owners from experiencing the type of tragedy we've seen in our region.

Like many of my neighbors, I was shocked by allegations last year that over 6,500 pet owners were deceived when they entrusted their beloved pet to be cremated. That's why I introduced legislation to close gaps in Pennsylvania law that left pets and pet owners without protection.

A disappointing end to the Steeler’s season last night, but I’m excited that the 2026 NFL Draft kicks off in Pittsburgh only 100 days from today! I recently attended a briefing held by the Pittsburgh Steelers to learn more about the Draft and the free, fun activities in the Steel City in April.
