For anyone wondering what all the hype is around #Oblivion, perhaps I have the video for you. I've never quite got it so I've taken the effort of starting a series to see if my mind can be changed, these are my thoughts thus far.

This is not the first time I've had an AI give me code that when I ask it to check its self for optimizations it notices the problem, and I can't believe we're how many generations into this technology and this hasn't been figured out yet.

It proceeded to create the variable for the nonces, do all the math, attach the variable to the original object, then pass it in, then rewrite the function params to take an index that wasn't used anywhere.

Please, tell me you all aren't actually using this stuff in production?

Using a certain Vibe Programming equipped AI editor to help me with a problem I was having sending a Web3 transaction. It navigated the problem and created a function to handle the nonces rather than relying on the library, which is fine, however.....

For anyone wondering I'm in the middle of transitioning all my Laravel Vapor and (was) soon to be laravel cloud applications over to scaleway.com, yes it means I'm having to handle the heavy lifting myself. But if anything it's just giving me ideas for an EU Competitior to these American products.

I tend to lean quite heavily on the American side of things for my tech reliance. I use AWS to host my applications, Laravel Vapor to handle the deployment stages. But no more. I'll be shifting everything possible to EU based resources. After today, it's a small change I can make to support Europe.

Nothing more season finale than sitting in bed at 11:20pm hearing the fire alarm go off in the flat upstairs wondering if they’re going to get their shit together or if your going to have a real interesting Sunday night.

Why does this matter? Elon had a meltdown and forced all links from Twitter to change to X, breaking the site. It's stablised now, so all users now link X. However websites that ingest those links, or use them in articles still need to manually change to the old ones to get the iframe working.

I still do not understand why Twitter (Now X) requires you to embed tweets on your website STILL under twitter.com despite all their API docs and everything else going to X. It's like someone over there forgot that functionality.

Been moving slowly all my sites and projects over to Laravel Vapor after being shown it a while ago. God what an experience. Able to focus entirely on pushing code rather than fighting with docker/spinning up VPS.

The other place has became so infested with undebatable people echoing points from years ago that have been disproven for ages now, it genuinely is unusable. You cannot have a good social experience with people that are in a completely different reality. Hoping it's nicer over here :)
