Happy Halloween! On the 31st and final day of my modeling challenge, I made a jack o lantern.

I'm very happy with my progress with 3D art over these last 31 days, especially as someone who has never had any success with any other art

Just one more model to go after today! I really loved modeling a Snorlax last week, so I decided to find another pokemon to model for Day 30.

The magnets on magnemite were tricky to model, so I had to figure out creative ways to make the shape work!

For Day 29, I wanted to mess with shaders more so I created a life flask! I created the glass material by mixing a few shaders, and its super cool to solve a problem using what I've learned this month

Definitely not inspired by an upcoming PoE bender!

I barely had any time to model on Day 28, so I very quickly made Chuble! He is a distant cousin of a Chuchu and of the Bloobles.

On Day 27, a king slime appeared!

Day 26 is Little Freak Day again, this time with a custom Little Freak! This is a Neighbor, an ominous and stealthy creature that stalks your every move.

Day 25 is a busy day, so I had to get this done earlier than usual! I played around with materials to make another sword with some custom flair.

Love how this one turned out!

On Day 24 I worked on more animation! I learned how to simulate smoke too.

On Day 23 I decided to honor those who lost thousands ̶g̶a̶m̶b̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ investing in their CS knives.

As we approach the end of the month, I figured I'd at least try some animation stuff even though I know that's gonna be a disaster.

Today I learned to simulate liquids, animate in blender, and export said animations! Probably not super useful for the rest of the challenge, but perhaps later...

Today (Day 21) I combined a few tools I learned to model a Snorlax!

Lot of sculpting and painting involved to give him his proper size.

For Day 20 I modeled a flail that my partner drew for Inktober!

I also rigged the model, so I was able to pose it using the rig instead of modeling a static pose!

Day 19 brings Bluble! He is very blue and taught me how to texture paint.

Up until now, all I've done is material coloring, so this was very different!

Day 18: peter coin.
October 19, 2025 at 12:51 AM
Day 17 I wanted to try more sculpting, but I also wanted to try modeling without references!

Today I made Blooble, an anxious little guy with a love for painted nails.

Day 16 and we are back on track for character creation. Today I focused on making items for the mesh to equip, in this case armor!
October 16, 2025 at 11:32 PM
With day 15 done, I am about halfway through the challenge! Today I made the Grass Crest Shield to help me keep my stamina for the remainder of the month.

I also got more practice with the knife tool and subdividing/splitting meshes.

Another speed model for Day 14. This one only taking me about half an hour!
October 14, 2025 at 11:41 PM
Day 13 gave me the itch to learn how to carve into existing faces, but I quickly learned it was easy to do.

To learn this I decided to make Enigma since I can't get the runes together otherwise.
October 14, 2025 at 12:42 AM
On Day 12 I learned the basics of sculpting in Blender, so I wanted to model something with a weird shape!

I thought a goomba would be perfect, and it was! It kinda feels like learning to model again, but I gained confidence much faster this time
October 12, 2025 at 11:57 PM
Day 11 is another speed model, but this time I figured I'd try something a little different!

The shapes on this vinyl player were a nice exercise in modeling unique shapes.
October 12, 2025 at 3:17 AM
Day 10 I decided to keep practicing speed modeling! I'm pretty stoked about how quickly I'm able to make things compared to before I started this, but soon I'll be raising the complexity again and needing more time.
October 11, 2025 at 1:43 AM
Today (Day 9) I didn't make a new model, but I instead learned how to rig a model! Of course, the base mesh I created last week was the target.

I had some silly stretching issues due to my scaling being inconsistent, but once I solved that, it became very easy to pose!
October 10, 2025 at 1:29 AM
Day 8's model is another weapon! Not much to say about this one, though I am happy with the quality and the speed at which I made this one!
October 9, 2025 at 12:41 AM
Day 7 is Little Freak day. Today's freak of choice being the jungle creeps (denizens?) from Deadlock

Yesterday and today forced me to learn more complicated modeling methods, and I can notice a big improvement in my speed and competence this last week!
