Since I work tomorrow, we had our massive Thanksgiving meal tonight. The house looks like this. Life is good, you know?

Once again: Snow forecast ranges exist for a reason.

I hate that the Strib put “up to 6 inches” in a big headline, because people only focus on the number.

Is the headline accurate? Yes! But it is also misleading because of how people interpret snow forecasts.

She’s ultra cuddly this morning. Needed after days of snow forecast stress.

3-5” north metro, 1-3” south metro

Took a bit longer to pile up, but it did. I’m satisfied with the forecast.

That’s a helluva dry slot over southeast Minnesota. It’s slowing the change to snow in the metro, and will knock down the high end of totals.

Probably back to 2-3” tonight, plus the strong winds.
November 26, 2025 at 1:32 AM
SPC highlighting most of central Minnesota for 1-2”/he snow rates Tuesday evening.

That’s where the *heaviest* snow will be. The Twin Cities will still see the rain to snow change.

1:30pm… Before the snow: Rain!
November 25, 2025 at 7:35 PM
Roads are going to get snowy and slippery fast from 7-10pm in the Twin Cities.

If you’re driving during that time, expect it to take about twice as long to get places.

Video forecast update: snow totals going up, timing and strong winds still the same.
November 25, 2025 at 3:49 PM
Snow totals have gone up in the Twin Cities. 3-4” for most, some 5” totals in the north metro.

What’s still the same: Snow begins after 7:00 PM, ends around sunrise Wednesday, and wind gusts of 40+mph will blow snow around.

I, too, have just intercepted Brock Purdy.

Here’s an updated forecast for the snow Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

Slight changes to the totals, but the overall messages are the same

Oh yeah, the Twin Cities set a record high of 56° today.

But I’m already on to Cincin…I mean, midweek snow.

Here is a rundown of the pre-Thanksgiving snow across Minnesota. Driving could get tough up north Tuesday night into Wednesday.

In the Twin Cities: A little snow, a lot of wind.

Nebraska just got a late hit call on their punter.

That should never draw a flag. Kickers should be able to try and knock over players at any point.

This is probably one of the last likable things you’ll see me post for a bit.

There will be plenty of snow and cold posts for the next 10 days.

I cannot stress this enough:

2-3 days in advance for snow forecasts. Models are still swinging HUNDREDS of miles for pre and post Thanksgiving systems.

Don’t change your travel plans until then at the earliest.
November 22, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Perspective on this post-Thanksgiving Midwest snow chatter, since we’re still TEN DAYS AWAY:

Model chances for heavy snow and under 1” snow are the same in the Twin Cities. THE SAME.

Both scenarios have equal weight right now.
