The side of the car is probably the most difficult part to make, but over the years I've made this kind of technique with which you make the side texture using a lot of different masks, shapes, gradients etc, and then apply the indexed color (in Photoshop), which limits the amount of colors^^

Forgot to mention, but that's almost 50 years of difference between this 2 cars!
