Honored to join my Alabama colleagues at Redstone Arsenal for the unveiling of the U.S. Space Command headquarters sign! 🚀

This was a true bipartisan effort to bring Space Command to its rightful home in Huntsville, and I’m proud to have done my part.

Outrageous! SCOTUS just greenlit Texas’ racially discriminatory congressional map. This is a direct assault on Black and minority voters and a betrayal of our democracy. We cannot stand by while voter suppression is rubber-stamped by the highest court in the land. Congress must restore the VRA NOW.
Supreme Court allows Texas to use a congressional map favorable to Republicans in 2026
The Supreme Court is allowing the challenged Texas congressional redistricting plan to be used in next year’s election, despite a lower-court ruling that the map likely discriminates on the basis of r...

We in @newdems.bsky.social just released our Health Care Action Plan to lower costs, expand access to care, and prevent millions from losing coverage.
December 3, 2025 at 4:57 PM
As Americans struggle to afford health care, @newdems.bsky.social are taking action. We just released a common sense plan that would lower costs, reverse the cuts, protect rural hospitals, and ensure every American—regardless of their zip code—gets the care they need.

I spoke with one of my constituents whose employees are seeing their health insurance premiums SKYROCKET!

Trump and Republicans created this mess. They need to work with us to fix it!
November 6, 2025 at 8:18 PM
Last night, voters across the nation spoke loud and clear. They want leaders who will lower costs and fight on behalf of the American people.

Republicans should take note. It’s time for them to come to table and negotiate a bipartisan bill to protect health care, fund SNAP, and reopen government!
November 5, 2025 at 3:37 PM
I met with Head Start leaders from across our district about how this government shutdown is impacting early childhood education in Alabama.

We need a bipartisan agreement to end this shutdown, lower health care costs, and fully fund our Head start programs.

Our children are counting on us!

This president has lost his mind! The fact that he would defy court orders in order to starve hungry families is sickening. Mr. President, follow the law, do your job, and release the SNAP funds!!!
November 4, 2025 at 6:32 PM
I applaud Mayor Woodfin and the Birmingham City Council for taking action to keep families fed during this SNAP crisis.

I was proud to offer my support for the $1 million allocation during today’s city council meeting.
