That's definitely hard in it's own way. I had a good therapist like that. Also a PsyD like my current therapist but different strategies.

Walked through the Agora in Athens today and thought back to when I was 23, copying every word of Plato by hand until I understood Socrates’ reasoning. Standing there, I could almost hear him speaking as Plato listened. The Agora isn’t just ruins; it’s where ideas first found their voice.

I was a fan of Aristotle when I was a teenager, and I took Attic Greek in college so I could read Sophocles but we mostly translated letters or less exciting passages

He did give me feedback about the psychologist I dealt with and steps that I could take to protect my student, though.

I need someone who's willing to sit down and say "Okay, 25% of your weekend should be self care at minimum. Let's make a plan of attack for everything else."

I don't even know if that's a good amount. I'm just saying that's what I need.

I think I'm going to send him an email.

I genuinely don't know how to go do fun things when there is an IEP to write and a house we need to finish moving into, and when we have to prep to sell.

I also have analysis paralysis and then struggle to choose activities when stressed.

He's such a nice guy and almost like a friend but I need very specific actionable, high leverage strategies.

I need executive functioning support when planning what self-care looks like.

I can't let go of tasks when they're undone, so I will neglect my well-being in pursuit of a goal.

He did give me a slight additional perspective but not as much as I would have hoped.

The action steps were to continue reframing negative thoughts and self-care.

I explained that I am having trouble snapping out of rumination.

He did ok with the reality check, though he always takes my side. I had such a deeply traumatic and dysfunctional childhood that I need people around me to confirm for me what's normal.

I always default to wondering if I'm the problem.

I wrote down my agenda and shared it with my therapist to give him 1 more try

Me: Share big things that have caused me significant stress

Me: Share the coping mechanisms I have utilized

Him: Provide a reality check about the validity of my reaction

Him: Suggest specific, actionable strategies

TL;DR

I've never had an android be this much of a PITA to set up, and the airtags for the pets, which were the whole point of the stupid phone, are not connected 😅

The apple support steps do not align with the new Apple 17, but I believe I have the two factor on

I have FaceID on, specific location on.

I can't set up the icloud keychain, until I deal with the icloud issue.

This is not endearing the product to me at all.

I can't set up the pets airtag and there are multiple potential reasons why, including the incredibly s***** internet connection.

I ordered new service and a router from Xfinity but that will be 3-5 days.

It also said it could be because the iOS needs updating. I updated.

My work disabled Apple login on my Mac Air, so I can't use that.

My old work Macbook is also on the device list, but the charger is buried somewhere at the old house or was gotten rid of.

I have also wasted a ridiculous amount of time trying to set up this stupid Apple phone and the pet airtags

It won't let me do anything. It's trying to pack up icloud data from my Ipad that was stolen. I removed it from devices, and it's still doing it.
