It’s my first real multichannel setup. Before, I just had a soundbar — a 2.1 setup. My new TV lets both its speakers and the soundbar play in perfect sync via optical cable. So not only did I upgrade from QLED to OLED, I went from 2.1 to 4.1 audio.

I’ve basically got a DIY mini home theater in my bedroom — a hybrid stereo + subwoofer setup that turns my LG TV and Vizio soundbar into a 4.1 cinematic experience. Clearer dialogue, fuller mids, a wider soundstage, crisp tweeters, deep bass, and rich depth. It sounds phenomenal.

The plan is to make some decals, tweak a few layouts for playability, and redesign the first village next starting Friday. I got to brainstorm a few more decals, and finalize the redesign for the first village in the meantime.

Update: I tried selling my Switch 2 out of protest. It didn’t sell. So I’ve decided to betray my own principles and play the new Pokémon. Turns out I’m more of a Nintendo fan than I thought.

I don’t judge how people spend their money; I just dislike when they try to justify it. It’s okay to buy something simply because you want it—just don’t pretend it’s a necessity. Honesty starts with yourself before it can reach others.
