Bought a new camera to test out for some content creation. Will eventually use this for my app's videos, too.

How did I do? www.tiktok.com/@shanefromse...

I'm well outside of my comfort zone filming stuff like this.
Should probably do some running as part of this #ultramarathontraining #running #workout #ducks #insta360

I'm a few days into creating content for TikTok and I now have a newfound respect for people that don't daily.

This is a real grind to get things edited and published.

If you're active over there see what you think of my first videos and give me a follow 😋

Three iterations of the same screen in my fitness app.

1️⃣ Initial wireframe idea (top section planned for video).
2️⃣ Updates after real workout use exposed friction.
3️⃣ Refined after sharing and getting feedback.

Much happier now. It’s starting to feel like a real app!

That'll do for now for the homescreen tweaks. Looks a little bit better. Those icons just didn't fit.

I think I need to spend more time researching app designs.

Absolutely procrastinated while doing this work and ended up creating a "Side Quests" mode.

5 workouts over 2 weeks logged in my app now.

I think another week and it'll have plenty of data for my algorithm to start learning things.

Absolutely taking the weekend off training, as the app recommends, and will be redesigning the home screen.

I thought I was being clever by using a single-screen layout, advancing each exercise set as a new screen.

It started to annoy me during last night's workout.

So naturally, I've redesigned it to a single screen.🤣

Testing that on this evening's workout. #buildinpublic

Today in "What am I doing with this Fitness App?"

I've created a small tool that uses ReMotion to generate some daily videos. Sharing these on socials like this to try and build up the socials

Example in the comment below -

Yesterday's video went 🚀 on TikTok

Just spent the last 30 mins trying to work out why a decimal won't store in the database.

Field was set as int4 🤣

That's me done for the day. 10 hours of work has cooked me.

Added some weekly review screens, which users can swipe through every Monday to see their progress.

Really need to start thinking about the designs now that I have all the data collected for the screens. 🤣

Three workouts logged in the @setreps.app now.

Starting to work really well. I think the big test will be a month or so in when there's tons of data logged for my account.

Few more tweaks going on my list for tomorrow.

@setreps.app is working great for me, and I'm only a few days in to using it.

🎉 The progressive overload logic is something I spent the most time on, and that's working perfectly🎉

Finding some small bugs, but mostly starting to hate the design now though. 😆

@setreps.app is live! But only for me, for the next 3 months.

I've just logged my first full workout in the app, which was a bit surreal. I now have a massive list of tweaks I want to fix before my next workout on Monday.

The more workouts I log, the better the smart workout creation gets.

Only had a couple of these at the start of the year. That season pass was a beast.

Might move to backyard ultras next.

Please help me through these difficult times by purchasing my most expensive domain names or making an offer on them. 🤣

One final early wake up on a Sunday in 2025 to lace in my racing chip onto my race shoes. Lets see if I can even get close to my PB.

Yeah, the image-sharing feature of my app, which has preset sizes for Insta, TikTok, Facebook is good and all... but check out the video creation I've just added too!

🔥🔥

I think I like this part of the app more than the rest of the app 🤣

If there's one thing I'm making sure is perfect in this app before launch, it's the workout sharing. Just finished creating pre-built Instagram and TikTok layouts so users can share their workouts and hopefully help drive new users into the app.

Not sure if it's a bug or a feature, but during the @setreps.app development, it consistently wants me to train legs. 🤣

My legs are fried from Zwift!

This is the same Adobe that "achieved record revenue of $5.99 billion in its third quarter of fiscal year 2025, which represents 11 percent year-over-year growth, or 10 percent in constant currency."

Insane revenue, but we're still going to charge you more.
December 9, 2025 at 11:26 AM
Fitness is one of those non-negotiables that goes on my calendar.

Adding Zwift this week just helped me level up on that too.
