I loved Banned Book Week when I worked at the library. I got to decorate the display cases outside the doors and a big glass display case inside the lobby with banned book covers, which I would wrap in paper chains and padlocks.

Going to try making a stew with leftover Oktoberfest brats, roasted baby potatoes, baby carrots, and caramelized onions in chicken stock and beer. Maybe throw some swiss cheese on top to serve. A little rosemary might also be nice.

Today I probably should have stayed in bed. Frigidaire warranty repair person no-showed TWICE (AM and PM). Hair dresser cancelled an hour before my appointment, so gray roots for the foreseeable future.
