Writing and reading decrease our sense of isolation. They deepen and widen and expand our sense of life: they feed the soul. When writers make us shake our heads with the exactness of their prose and their truths, and even make us laugh about ourselves or life, our buoyancy is restored

#climate #Ireland #EPA #NPWS the report this morning from Europe was utterly depressing. No improvement in 5 years. 50% of wildlife disappeared and habitats destroyed in the name of economic growth. Fed up and disappointed by the Irish attitude 🌱🌱

Bought this rose as a "hospital case" bare root in Mr Price for €1.99 last April - bred from the famous Peace rose, which were everywhere in the 50s and 60s before they went out of fashion. Peace had a glorious scent ..... and so has this little rose. But sadly I don't know it's name🌱🌱
