Jimbo, dreamsicle piebald, is bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. I'm in love with this mans! He's an important part of my day, feeding him in the morning and being greeted when I get home.

Walker has been here as long as I have, but hasn't bothered to try and get to know us yet. I never wanted to stress him, so our relationship was me shouting baby talk at him from a distance (in public 🙀 lol) well, he watched Jimbo get a place (and regular dinners) and has finally broken past those last few barriers. He came right up this morning!

Jimbo's not super pleased, but I'm trying to show each of them they won't lose out on account of the other!

Walker is a... Luxury piebald sic, maybe? He's really gorgeous, and has soooo much hair.

It can be hard getting comfortable in this stage, so I used a trick I picked up from Missy- anything can be a toy! Sometimes the regular ones are just too noisy or bright. That little vine in front of his face was within reach and I swung it around until he went CHOMP! He's pleased with himself, I haven't scared him away, and we're both happy.

He's already working out another toy already! A little stick, some pine needles can give that little thrill that sends all cats into play time, which I believe really helps your bond!

We believe these babies (Shiloh and Dixie) were probably sisters! And their mom is having her babies as best as she can, but something's just not right. They didn't grow, past a point. All the other cats are at least a year old and haven't shown these issues.

You might think Shiloh, diffuse orange young lady, looks pretty freaked out here. You're very correct! Melissa is mean-mugging Shiloh from my lap, but that didn't stop this enterprising sweetie! Why, just get in the bowl, Melissa loves that!

And you know what? It worked. Smartest cat, got many kisses.

Jimbo, dreamsicle piebald, stepped onto my lap and seriously hasn't looked back. He'll jump right up even when I'm in the chair (something terrifying only days ago), and flip over to get some snugs. He's a kneader, with no claw control, yet manages to grab my hand with the same claws out and not break skin. He's not shy about giving kisses back, but still a little suspicious about this whole "hang out with a human" thing. One of his favorite games is "ooooh nooooooo you're chaaaasing meeee!" Today, he nipped mawmaw's toe after receiving very nice pets haha I almost cried laughing. I'm very grateful to have this little guy near home- I'm probably crazy selfish, already getting to love on so many babies, but early this morning I decided to give up on sleep and step out- he was there! He's a wonderful new neighbor!

Thanks for reading this wall of text... I'm not planning on reducing my posting, but I'm having trouble finding joy around me. I know it's there, and right now I'm blind to it (also sick lol) so I'll just keep swimming until the spots in my vision fade!

Jimbo, orange and white (or dreamsicle) piebald, has been getting much closer! I can give pets, but he's not fully comfortable around me yet, and my phone going off or just catching him wrong can have him bolt out of reach, but I've also learned that if I cry dramatically he'll run back! 😸 He's not sure what this whole lap thing is about, but he's pretty close to figuring it out!

Hi, Jimbo! He's really handsome! He has wide set shoulder blades and is just massive. He's not scared of dogs at all, and will send any weaker minded ones running. He jumped about ten feet in the air and spent two minutes reacting to that pot behind him, seemingly worried for our safety. Turns out it was the little plastic tray it was sitting in... Thank goodness he was there to protect me!

Look! He says, love me! Pet me! He's just so sweet and precious. I'm very biased! Jimbo is rubbing against my hip (sitting on the ground) because he isn't quite ready to totally trust me. That's okay! Everyday I get to hangout with Jimbo is a day closer to when I can get him to just show up and jump into my lap lol

Look at that baby! He's so gorgeous. My dreamsicle friend has such mighty paws, and love in his heart... I'm tired lol, so that's all for now. Thank you to everyone who thought of us this past week. Take care!
