I will need a couple more days, returning home soon. The trip has been amazing but also exceptionally overwhelming and I just don’t process stuff rapidly -_-

Already am! but the Japanese mosquitoes are from a different level, they don’t seem to care
This includes the 10% deet
(I did use deet 40% yesterday (mostly on clothing) and this helped for a while, but this is a smoll bottle because of costumes, there is only a small portion for me to go to a ->

Only happened once and wasn’t malignant (according to Dr I could grow old with it, But I can’t deal with it)
Anyway stress is a big concern in itself
And I am scared with the “Russian roulette” in itself, I don’t know if another sting will go bad for me (on top of the itch and hump)

It doesn’t explain why it’s bad for you, but I do usually apply it mostly on my clothes.
Applied directly to the skin it dries it out (for me) and a wild guess is it is damaging for the skin, for me however the mosquito sting can turn into something horrible, it needs to be cut out ->

Yep! using a lime deodorant, lots of vanilla in perfumes and peppermint and kokos too, I can confirm these do help (not stop), but make a difference in preventing mosquitoes, I can add Amber to the list. Vinegar is very aggressive though, even applied to clothing (I dont care for the damage on my->

In NL I occasionally use it outside (and sleep with a window cover)
But when traveling I rely on it
What else repels them? (Citronella is a joke, even the pure stuff doesn’t keep them away)

!!! SMOLL Desperate request for tips:

I am allergic for musquitoes
1 day in Japan = 13 nibbles
I don’t get a cute barely itchy spot
I have a very itchy red hump of 1 cm diameter each nibble (one is 3 cm)
Deet could keep them away -> Japan doesn’t have anything over 10%

I use Cetrizine, paracetamol and the strongest they gave me in drugstore(s) to stop the itching, non really work.

Also what will simply prevent me to be delicious nom for them?

I am very scared for the nature part of our trip currently planned 😭
