The U.S. and the Philippines agreed to upgrade Cagayan North International Airport in Luzon in case it’s needed for Taiwan’s defense. At the same time, the WWII North Field Airbase in Tinian is being restored. Both projects must move quickly—there seem to be better uses for the National Guard.

A producer and editor for WGN-TV was violently forced to the ground this morning by two Border Patrol agents, before having her hands cuffed behind her back, during an ICE action in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Debbie Brockman has worked for the local television station since 2011.
