The clues that our team were on a footpath, while twice being accused of trespassing, are there if you look carefully...

The fight to end the Badger cull continues.

The hunt and their rather pathetic field of about 15 riders (who had been wandering around aimlessly, trying to find the hounds) packed up, looking dejected, before 11am.
shropswildmons.bsky.social
At least one fox was helped to safety by our volunteers, and officers from West Mercia Police attended in response to calls from locals angry about and distressed by the hunt.

Paul Davis took the time to accuse some of our teams of trespassing on public footpaths and bridleways, which is an interesting take on the law... 🤔

We found them there shortly before 8am, and kept on top of them through the morning as they put their hounds into coverts and coppices with no pretence of following a trail, and hunted over land between Ford Heath and Onslow.

Multiple teams of monitors in several vehicles, on foot and piloting drones kept the Shropshire Hunt on their toes today, after concerned local residents tipped us off about them meeting up at Far Broadway Farm near Shoot Hill, west of Shrewsbury.

***HUNT ALERT***

Shropshire Hunt at Far Broadway Farm, Ford Heath near Yockleton now. SJ 40594 11643

Please call 999 if you see any illegal activity. Video of safe to do so.

Historically they used to advertise that it was the hunt hosting these fun rides but nowadays they keep this fact quiet as they know the general population do not like them and do not wish to support them.
shropswildmons.bsky.social
Are you unwittingly supporting criminal activities?

Most hunts don't have the financial punch they once did. In order to keep themselves afloat they need different fundraising ideas and a fun ride is one of these.

We've had information that the Shropshire Hunt are hunting around Sansaw.

A team of monitors is on its way to try to ensure no animals are harmed.

If you see the hunt and are
concerned or think that they
are hunting illegally contact
the police on 101, or 999 if you consider it an emergency.
shropswildmons.bsky.social
Gather photographic and film evidence if possible, but don't put yourself in any danger and ensure you stay on public rights of way.

Don't let them get away with it. #StrengthenTheHuntingAct #StopTheHunts #TrailHuntLies #EnforceTheBan #StopShropshireHunts #HuntingWithDogsAct

Barry Roberts, the hunt's host for the day, was his normal rude and ignorant self, and little Steve from Shrewsbury Merc garage was also in attendance pulling his forelock to the riders - least he knows his place. 🧢

Makes you wonder - how can parents be proud to have their kids attend and hear the hounds going wild in the woods? You have to wonder how responsible these people are.
shropswildmons.bsky.social
The police were called and they turned up shortly before the hunt packed up; thank you West Mercia Police rural crime team.

A stupidly early start for hound exercising, basically to spend an hour holding up a wood.
shropswildmons.bsky.social
We guessed they’d end up at Quarry Wood, a favourite haunt of theirs, and found them there where they proceeded to stay on point round the woodland for nearly an hour, a large field of riders with lots of very young riders on horse back, and the usual dumb looking support, all a bit odd looking.

We headed over, and sure enough the hunt were still in the same area by the farm which they then hung around for another 30 mins, no trail layer in sight.

They eventually moved on through Winsley Hall estate, and we found them holding up another woodland but they soon moved again.

Sat 30 August 2025 -
Meet: Hollies Farm,
Aston Rogers. Home of the notorious and unpleasant Barry Rogers.

At 6.30am we received a tip off from unhappy locals, informing us that the Shropshire Hunt were cub hunting at Hurst Farm, Westbury, surrounding woodland, with the hounds in cry.
