My need to socialize, form bonds and potential friendships, outweigh my compulsion to give up on people and society itself. No living in the woods alone with my spouse and cats today. Kudos evolution, you win yet another day. 👌 :B Would be nice if such a thing were doable in the first place though.

I felt this throughout DT. The writing felt sooo... safe(?) for the most part. I find a bit of humor in S9 citizens being so scared of feelings, that they purged their own memories to spare themselves from grief. That prompted my first immense emotional reaction (the removal of emotions). 👌 :B

Seriously. Let me FEEL things! I enjoy having my emotions evoked (even the negative ones!). I don't want, nor need, a protective bubble of sorts. It's also okay to be "wrong" about a reading or to misinterpret something imo. It might suggest we were enthralled by something important to us somehow. 😭

I also think there's this push to cater to the "lowest common denominator" and to try to appeal to everyone (which makes things appeal to pretty much nobody imo). Like, it's okay if something isn't my, or your, or someone's metaphorical jam. "Not everything is for me." 🤷‍♀️

Normally, I click "like" on posts that I see and agree with, but I don't like this at all. I fully agree with you, but just can't bring myself to press that button because of how much disdain I have for GenAI. So, here's a comment instead: "Thanks, I hate it." 🙏🫠

While I haven't had the same issues as you (is also on Etsy, and eBay), I'd like to point out just how much I dislike selling platforms. Those two have a bossy attitude and ego they need to get over. I don't work for either company, nor do you, so they need to sit their asses down and STFU imo. 🔪🔪🔪

Betore they piece it together: A mandatory social where they notice the other constantly on their phone, and they complain to their in-game "friend" about the social they're at, remarking how unsociable others are because they're preoccupied texting others.

Maybe HR finds out because the private email address is the in-game name. Maybe Sorocan finds out because company events and meetings strangly line-up with game time availabilities. E.g.: "Can't tonight, I'm planning an XYZ at a Mexican restaurant." XD

They don't know the other plays, and they fall for each other in-game. They avoid people at work. Their office dynamic gets weird because they figured out their love interest is a coworker, but don't think the other has figured out that they work together. 👀

Legacy code makes me feel at ease. No "infrastructure as code." No Kubernetes, no Docker, no CI/CD, no need for sprint goals. Just... design something good and make it scalable. Contrary to what companies claim, everything is spaghetti code because "go go go" and "break fast!" Poor planning imo. 🫠
