As a Dem campaign staffer, at the end of every race, there was always this "oh we'll help you get jobs" bullshit and it literally never amounted to anything. It was super demoralizing, but the right does it very well.

So, this is me trying to put a logical and local frame on this: the DSCC basically shoved Sara Gideon through the primary in 2020 and she ended up being a money-annihilating disaster run by the worst people in DC, and there's legit concern that Mills is just a re-run of that debacle

I was honestly pretty skeptical of Platner, but he's been winning me over. Despite being a novice he's clearly hired a professional team and is running a strong campaign and developing a message.

But I can see the electability argument, even if I disagree with it.
