Birria de Res Tacos (Beef Birria Tacos) One joy of traveling are unexpected food finds in hotel bars. These tacos were great. 🍜🍽️
Thank you. I have two or three and don’t use them regularly. I prefer to use my carbon steel Sabatier knives.

Thank you. I wanted to make comforting food with mass appeal.
Tomato mozzarella and basil salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Penne lemon chicken picatta. Dirty martini. Cooking at a friend’s house. 🍽️🍜
I love to make salted turnip pickles.
Spatchcocked roasted chicken using a compound butter of sumac, za’atar, cumin, and coriander seed spread under the skin and all over the chicken and roasted over a bed of onions and garlic cloves. Served with soft Parmesan polenta. With steamed broccoli with olive oil and lemon. 🍽️🥂
This doesn’t even include my tool box that I carried when I went to cooking school, and the other carrying knife roll .

Ohhhh yes! In Mexico I bought jars of French curry mustard that I cannot get enough of.
FISH Tales. I buy canned fish everywhere I travel.
I have a not so secret tinned and canned fish addiction. When you land nothing in the house you have a feast with tinned fish.
It was a perfect dinner for one.
It really is so good @lizetkruyff.bsky.social when we were in Amsterdam this past summer, however, I bought some Dutch canned fish which I’m excited to try.
When I don’t feel like cooking I reach for canned fish. Tonight, imported Spanish tuna in olive oil over mixed greens, feta, tomatoes, cukes and radishes with lemon juice and Espelette pepper. 🍽️🍜
