Don't know how I missed this. Thanks for commenting! The UI was custom made by me for this game. I'm trying to make everything fit the overall aesthetic, so I'm keeping it very tight.

The intent is for it to look similar to Swiss graphic design poster style. So basically minimalism, order, clarity.

My test for if I was achieving my "yuck" goal was if I found myself unconsciously frowning while working on them. 😅

After that I tweak the camera settings in Blender to match the camera of a film I'm a fan of, to try to get them looking even more upsetting.

Lastly I take it all into photoshop.

I might do a longer breakdown soon - I get this question a lot.

Hey, thanks! They are 3D models made with a paid Blender tool called Human Generator Ultimate - a bit like Character Creator or Metahuman, but I find it better for working directly on the models.

I used that and then adjusted some of the texturing, rigging, etc. to get the uncanny looks I wanted.

In I Would Love to Wish You Good Morning, the sounds of your toxic office are part of the score and the anxiety levels of the music shift based on your choices.
