One thing I've learned from growing up autistic is that it's better to have a smaller circle of people who match your freak than to bend over backwards to keep people who don't.

The louder you are genuinely you, the easier it will be for people who vibe with that to find you.

I keep seeing people say “yeah but ppl who make weird stuff get passed over/gate kept/shut out/isolated” in response to “make weird art” and that’s true! But the whole point is: make it anyway. Build an honest community with like minded people. Be brave. Be you. Make something that matters.
