Assume this is Rossland? Either way, those Canadian ferns are no joke.
I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, but I’ve been trying to take care of myself for a bit to get back in better health.

This shoot with Lilli came up recently and I’d forgotten how much I liked this work.

Model is Lilli, July 2010

Really beautiful how the model melts into the water. Stunning.
Channeling some vintage Grace Jones, maybe?
Honestly, I feel like we can just watch this on the news!
This gives me some Helmut Newton vibes!
Figure with waterfall. Taken in the Delaware Water Gap on an exceedingly hot July day.

More portrait than figure study, but I still find this photo compelling. What are your thoughts?

It’s not that difficult. If I remember correctly, there was a non- photography related outfit that did precision, laser drilled pinholes for different cameras and it was essentially fitted to the lens mount cover for your camera body.

I think this exposure was 4 or 8 seconds.
I’ve always enjoyed exploring sensuality as a means of artistic expression.

Shot with a pinhole fixed to my Canon 5D Mk II I had at the time, this had such a dreamy quality I loved.

Nude on chair.

Polaroid Type 100, shot at the Jordan Street Studio, triggering a large soft box to frame right. Some of those Polaroid camera’s auto exposure settings worked surprisingly well with flashes and studio lights!

This photo was taken shortly after the passing of Nori’s husband from a long fought battle with cancer.

There are 3 more silver gelatin prints of this image from the original image. I originally made 5 numbered prints. If anyone wants one of the remaining prints, please contact me directly.
I was very fortunate to capture this photo. See follow on post for explanation. Shot with some of my remaining Polaroid Type-55, this is a scan of the resulting negative.

It’s like one of those Greek sculptures in the Louvre.
I had a friend at the time who was making tutus for cosplays and what not. So I had her make one for me. And while I generally eschew props I kind of enjoyed using this one.

Scan of the 4x5 negative. Likely Ilford HP5.

Going back to the beginning again. I’ve always loved this figure study. Simple light setup in my small home studio.
