Guess a broken bone had to be next on the Everton injury bingo card

Now there’s an argument if it’s a season ending injury for Grealish, or one that goes into April, do we cancel the loan and get someone else in who would be fit to play in those games

Not often you get a cheque for $51 from the US Federal Trade Commission, but today is that day, courtesy of their lawsuit against Amazon - somehow doubt Amazon will go under as a result but all the same a nice surprise

Wondered what I had done when I saw the FTC details on the envelope mind

Did enjoy #TheBoneTemple, which as the title infers concentrates on a smaller part of the world than #28YearsLater whilst benefitting from its world building. Fiennes is great in it and once again gives the film its emotional heart and crucially hope - there is a bit of a lack

Get in there - bit of a throwback win to ones in the early years of Moyes first tenure. Garner MOTM but the entire midfield put a right shift in, defensively didn’t give them too much and when needed Pickford pulled off a great stop from Rogers effort. UTFT!

Tuchel lurking like Nosferatu in the stand
January 18, 2026 at 5:56 PM
Beautiful chipped finish by Barry that!
January 18, 2026 at 5:54 PM
TBF think Garner did get away with that shove on Rogers, one refereeing decision back at least
January 18, 2026 at 5:53 PM
Not a bad first half showing that, unlucky to hit the post and another in the list of debatable VAR calls, and that’s putting politely

COYB!

Not surprised Moyes and his teammates felt annoyed by Grealish getting himself sent off the other week, and notable Moyes’ comments about his form in the last month - though there are a couple mitigating circumstances there, not mentioned beyond the sensationalist headline

Away from football, Michael Mann’s version of Miami Vice on BBC1 right now - great example of why you should shoot a movie on film negative and not digital (film nerd stuff I know)
January 18, 2026 at 12:33 AM
Well timed by BBC to show a “big” interview with Oliver Glasner given events in the last 24 hours or so

Nice moment today with the yellow V2 route where a fellow climber asked how I’d transitioned my foot movement on the early part of the route, which I think might have been a first in several years of climbing at Green Spider! Glad to have helped though 👍

A British gothic horror with some promise in the trailer for #thedreadful - not sure about the accents but why is this only a limited cinematic release, give UK films a chance
Kit Harington and Sophie Turner reunite, this time as cursed lovers, in the trailer for Natasha Kermani's medieval Gothic horror #TheDreadful.

Definitely looking forward to seeing #thebride when it’s out in March, trailer looked good the other week at the cinema
Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale are undead lovers on the run in the official trailer for #TheBride!, Maggie Gyllenhaal's wildly ambitious 30s Chicago-set riff on The Bride Of Frankenstein.

Did enjoy #MartySupreme and it is worthy of a lot of the praise it’s gotten - Timothy Chalamet does create a real truth twisting manipulative anti hero who brings various levels of hurt, chaos to those with and around him and those he encounters. Does feel it’s 150 minute running time though,

Great finish by Welbeck that, suspect Amorim will be having a little chuckle to himself right now

One other @evertonfc.com thing - please get the fan zone with @giuliabould.bsky.social back up ASAP on that plaza, isnt the same without it and a lot more welcoming/interesting that just a DJ

And whoever at Everton decided we needed a fourth kit that we don’t need, could’ve saved for next season, introduced it in January and to wear it at home, regardless of if it was a cup game, needs a talking to at the very least - should be in our first kit at home at all times

There’s probably enough said about McNeil today as well - he has never really been great, at least IMHO, but he looks like he wants Dyche to ride in on a white steed to take him to Forest. Rohl is at least still trying to come to terms with the speed/intensity over here
January 10, 2026 at 9:10 PM
Least Aznou looked lively when he came on&wasn’t afraid to get stuck in, sharp contrast to a few of his teammates, made the excuses about him not starting seem a bit soft

As for Dibling - he won’t be helped getting told he’s shite constantly, though he didn’t help himself today
January 10, 2026 at 9:06 PM
Home and had dinner after a 236 mile round trip to see Everton go out with at least two of the worst penalties seen on my time watching them - terrible first half, and a number of those that did play can’t complain when they get dropped when first choice players come back
January 10, 2026 at 9:03 PM
Every time my mum comes to a game there’s a mini drama, this time a jobsworth steward on the gate not wanting to let her in with her bag which he claimed was bigger than A4, clearly wasn’t, told her to go to the bag drop, checked with another steward, no problem in you go 🙄

@azzurri1878.bsky.social do you still use that Liverpool event parking place that utilises what looks to be the CPS car park by the bridge, not far from BMD?
January 9, 2026 at 3:18 PM
Moyes not wanting to defend Grealish then in the post match interview, by the tone of the reply and look on his face probably a few words sent in Grealish’s direction
