Excited to share that our paper on Hsiungia pekingensis, a rare equine strongyle, is now published in the Journal of Helminthology!
Special thanks to my supervisors and collaborators for their support. Classical and molecular parasitology in harmony!

We successfully held our Equine Parasitology Workshop at UCVM, bringing together DVM and grad students for an engaging day of learning and hands-on experience. The workshop covered everything from classic parasitology techniques to cutting-edge diagnostics like nemabiome analysis. 🐎🪱

There probably aren’t enough equine scientists here yet for such a request, but I may as well try anyway:

We are very keen to receive equine strongyle L3 cultures from around the globe for nemabiome analyses. If this is something you would like to contribute to feel free to get in touch!

Hi everyone! I'm Sina, a PhD candidate at the University of Calgary. My research focuses on equine gastrointestinal strongyle parasites, examining their molecular diversity and characterizing them using advanced techniques like nemabiome metabarcoding alongside traditional morphology.
