A funny ol' thing is that when they did a pachislot for this series they rendered out a bunch of new Garo sequences using the CG team from the tokusatsu which leads to stuff like the final fight Garo powerup in full realistic CG lol

Leon's fight with Alfonso to take back Garo is one of the best ever, to this day. So simple yet so good and so jam packed with emotional payoff.

The two hit blow of Honoo no Kokuin and Divine Flame are absolutely amazing Garo content, Guren no Tsuki is fucking terrible

Vanishing Line occupies this weird space where its pretty good and does a lot of interesting stuff but it doesn't QUITE make it to the top

I've been thinking about Garo Vanishing Line and its a show I like a lot but I will say it's one that suffers for a lack of like, SUPER substantial stuff going on

Like that whole middle stretch of the show after the first fight Knight is alright but it's not super memorable
