I also think the direction of the movie didn't help with the quality

My friend did note the costume design too, especially for people. Personally only mary's outfits bothered the hell out of me because they looked like fast fashion floral dresses. I liked maria's outfit, it felt the most similar to the games

We both agreed that you could've literally ripped sh2's story beat for beat and made a good ass movie from it. The only alterations needed would be to make it better suited and paced for film. You could even go past the 1hr 46min runtime of return to silent hill if you needed to fit everything in

So many parts of the story were nonsensical. Some heavily important characters only had 1-3 scenes in the whole movie?? Eddie was there for ONE scene and never again showed up. Angela's there for 2, PH for 3. My friend and I had a very good dissection of the movie after watching

The director of the 1st silent hill movie directed this one. And hey, I like the 1st one and felt like this could be good. Return to silent hill is such a downgrade from the 1st. There's just so many odd decisions made in the story and writing of the movie that made it bad

I went with a friend to see return to silent hill yesterday. I went in with cautious optimism and left with deep dissatisfaction. Very much felt "look at how they massacred my boy" about it
