No wonder the orange toddler is unhinged once again.

The Obamas are competent, classy, loving, Harvard and Princeton graduates, loved by many, not on the Epstein files, got the Nobel Peace Prize, and gave us a steady economy to boot.

Repost this if you agree they are AMAZING and an inspiration!

I have zero interest in AI. Nothing would please me more than to see AI and their investors go down in flames, crash, burn some more for good measure, cremate what remains just to be sure, and be thrown into a vat of molten metal for poetic justice. #NoAI #UnplugAI

The man is deranged and probably taking kickbacks (or his family or both). When it comes to nuclear anything, you _never_ want to play fast loose; careful and continuous rigour, study, safety should be applied, because a mistake would be beyond costly.

Had my first ever @popeyes.bsky.social meal. Spicy blacken chicken (undersized) sandwich, tasted sweet and not spicy, with luke warm lg fries. 20 CAD for two "fastfood" items - sad. For 20 CAD I could have bought a roast chook & St. Hubert sauce at Metro, still have change, and get ~3 meals.

So I made a `Tarte aux tomates et tapenade` last Sunday. Lovely simple dish and it turned out rather well I thought. No anchovies in my tapenade though in case you're a purest.

During the Apollo era, NASA went to some lengths to figure out (or contract out) a pressurised pen for use in zero-gravity, while the Russians solved the problem with a simple pencil (I assume some bag wrapper to capture shavings while sharpening).

Used to love clutch pencils in school, I could reload them and replace the eraser. Now they're plastic disposables (more waste) that you don't bother refilling, so wooden pencils, a good Stadler metal pencil sharpener, and gum eraser are much better IMO.

Well wood pencils work best (less waste); too many fountain pens blew up in my shirt pocket as a kid. Could still see an IoT fountain pen (your ink is low, your flourish needs more work, you must be stressed, you have only written one letter this mouth). 🖋️🤖

So what services and software can be relied on to not use AI? The BSDs, Linux, good ol' HP 15C & 16C, master chefs, classic flip-phones with 4G (where's Nokia 3310 when you need it), home stereos, martial arts, dog cuddles. Things built by thinkers and artists; where simple'n' sturdy has value.

@gimp.org.web.brid.gy Consider a GIMP Lite or GIMP Paint, **fast load**, quick edits, crop, resize, basic draw (like Paint), format conversion, all without Microsoft enshitification. GIMP is great, but heavy to load and get basic stuff done quick for a quick post, bug report, email, meme, etc.

There’s only one place where code must be flawless, and unreadable.

The International Obfuscated C Code Contest.

Every year the entries are absurdly good…and there’s still room for more!

You’ve got until March 13th to enter.

More AI Evil, more AI harm. I'm still waiting for actually knobs and buttons for the radio, heat, etc to come back. I don't need a sat.nav. let alone an AI back seat driver. I can plan a route in advance and read a paper roadmap. Why would I want AI? More slop and enshitification.

#Dell & other laptop makers flog stupidly small arrow keys (even on large models) now. After the Enter key arrow keys are the most used in editing and games, they should be same size as regular keys. I have an old Dell Latitude 3330 laptop with a sane layout ideal for editing & normal size arrows.

Fuck you people. Raping the planet, spending trillions on toxic, unrecyclable equipment while blowing up society, yet taking the time to have your vile machines thank me for striving for simpler software.

Just fuck you. Fuck you all.

I can't remember the last time I was this angry.
