Love Elita, even if she stole IDW Riptide's alt mode. Actually a great use of it, hope we get a Nautica Retool. Again I got her cheap toy and it looks great! Overly simple transformation and crappy articulation but it's the female transformer my inner kid wanted. super nostalgic late G1 vibe.

I think you'll enjoy Frayle. Probably the Witchiest band I've seen. Like Snakemother but w/ instead of Dead Can Dance influence, more 90s Goth.

Heavy as shit too. Like Snakemother, the sort of Doom that makes you feel powerful, like you ARE the Doom.

Do you know Snakemother btw? Probably my favourite band of whatever genre they are. Doom? Kind of. Goth Metal? Yeah sure. Bulgarian Folk? Yeah why not.

I do also like that so many "Fey" type myths revolve around them having been previously human. I think either by dying or becoming "Fey touched", they can become fairies. All living things have a connection to Faerie. Faerie is essentially a spirit world, after all, a plane of life.

Also - Annwn is one interesting example, the land beneath the waves, which is a kind of fairy land and land of spirits/the dead in one.

My version of the Feywild is definitely a spiritworld people can pass into when they die too, but it's more of a transitory plane for them.

Oh yes, "Burial mounds" and "Fairy Mounds" are usually one in the same. THe thing is in a lot of folklore the reason for that connection is the same thing Millenials and Gen Z go nuts over - Liminal Spaces! The places "between worlds" end up being between several or all worlds, in a sense.
