Midland Arden (MAR) Soroptimists step up their donations of blankets for girls and women in Ethiopia treated for birth fistula by Hamlin Fistula Hospital in Addis Ababa. 40 blankets collected on our 50th anniversary of our MAR Club meetings on 27 September 2025.

Thank you to #Soroptimist sisters, friends and family supporting our Afternoon Tea in aid of Black Country Food Bank with wonderful hospitality from our Programme Action Lead Linda & Paul Sanders in their beautiful garden to saxophonist accompaniment. A profit of £1220 was achieved for our charity!

I am worried about Myanmar, especially Mandalay, after a 7.7 earthquake today.A state of emergency has been declared in Bangkok with people trapped after a skyscraper under construction collapsed.Myanmar is incredibly vulnerable amid severe internal conflict.I hope the major parties offer help.
