Well, I have officially started HRT last week. Of course this is the beginning of this phase of my transition so I don’t feel much different yet but it’s still exciting. Next appointment is in 3 months!

So, this last 8 days has been a whirlwind for me. I feel like I achieved the impossible, being that I am in a red state like Indiana. I got my name and gender marker changed, approved by the court, and got my birth certificate, Social Security and driver’s license updated!

On Sunday, I went to a Holi celebration near where I live. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I loved that there were people of many colors there, and lots of dancing and smiles, and of course, color! This was an example of the promise of America—freedom to celebrate other cultures and their pride!
