How each one chooses to enforce it is a personal choice (Often trust is enough if you articulate the message that any form of ethical misconduct is not acceptable).
Many supervisors only articulate their demand for X papers in top conf. Which, imho, is the root of the problem...

I truly hope that the supervisors in these cases will get just as much of a "punishment" as the students. It is literally their job to supervise their students not to do these kind of things.

5/ Our community deserves a higher bar for how we communicate success. Let’s shift the focus from “how many” to “what impact.” Together, we can create a culture that uplifts, educates, and celebrates science—not rankings.

4/ Instead, let’s focus on sharing the science. Share your paper. Tell us the story behind it, the insights, and what excites you. Mention that it will appear at ICCV afterwards. This is far more inspiring and constructive.

3/ More importantly, this trend doesn’t promote science—it fosters negative competitiveness. It perpetuates the false idea that the number of acceptances reflects the quality of the science, which is simply not true.
