Just finished the last of the Lensman books.

The ending was unexpectedly ominous.
I've actually been a Radiation Hormesis believer for a number of years now.

If a hot drink can cool the body when it's hot then a little more radiation can kick my DNA repair systems into overdrive
[NEW VIDEO] Maybe my most important nuclear video as I wade into the industry’s most controversial topic: youtu.be/gzdLdNRaPKc?...

Video I made based on a tweet
Btw if you ever need more lighthugger art in the future I have a few
That Valkyrie ISV design looks incredible. Every time these guys cover interstellar ships I see something new

Also lighthugger mention

He then leaves in a huff and doesn't talk to anyone about it.

Very interesting character actually, a real Alien alien.

Space Twitter has been infested with nazis for a while but unfortunately I know the Apollo era folks aren't much better
Seeing the guy who designed the Jupiter III call the Canadian prime minister a 'CCP cuck' should not have surprised me as much as it did since I saw the writing on the wall over a year ago
Hell Lensman has details shared with Dune too.

That's what you get for inventing the Space Opera genre I suppose
Lensman has more in common with Babylon 5 imo, and I would be unsurprised if it was in fact also an inspiration
People often say Lucas stole the idea of the Jedi from the Lensman books, but they aren't that similar at all so far
Current long term financial plan is to wait for the AI bubble to collapse then invest
Thunderbirds Are Go (1966). Objectively a pretty weak movie that doesn't really make sense. But I simply cannot think it's anything but awesom
My luck in avoiding seeing the Kirk death video just ran out :/

In a fucking Avatar 2 gif edit as well
This is an incredible video btw
Was reading the wikipedia page on plate tectonics because I was bored.

Turns out the primary force moving plates isn't mantle convections, but ridges pushing plates away. It also might be subduction pulling plates around. We don't actually entirely know
Kinda nuts that yesterday the BBC started a police officer racism scandal and then today everyone was praising the response to the terrorist attack.

To be fair 7 minutes from first 999 call to attacker dead is crazy fast
I most certainly did not expect to see a former teacher's husband on the news this evening. That's what you get for having a unique and memorable surname
If humanity ever does create an Artificial General Intelligence it will not be one based on LLMs. They will be a part of it but it will not be the intelligence part
Gonna start actively pushing back against these tweets and see what'll happen
