Got me thinking about some big things I've walked through in my life. Marriage, moving, a kid. I'm not sure I ever felt ready.

On the way to give birth, in heavy labor, I told my husband I wasn't ready. But then I decided I was.
It's always been a decision. Not a feeling. And I love that.

Veterans who continue serving as public servants would be forced to swear fealty to Trump — or lose their jobs.

I grew up on Long Island. Moved to the city at 19 and then 3000 miles away when I was 29. It was always a place of misinformation and neo- conservatism. I hear it's a hot box for white supremacy now. Not at all shocking to hear measles has arrived.

They came out of the oven scorchingly hot, a blur of motion flew through our kitchen. Left on, the tray was nothing but crumbs. A belch from the next rooms confirmed my teenage son approved. I'll make another batch tomorrow. Maybe this time, I'll get to try them. 10/10 so we were told.
