Overall I would give it a 9 out of 10, it ends rather abruptly without any sort of final word from the band members which was a bit odd. Apart from that I would recommend it for anyone interested in rock music or how bands start out in general.

Another plus point is the early gig material showing the band at its raw best and sometimes a little too raw for audiences. There is one performance where the audience appears to be made up of families with some kids and some adults with their fingers in their ears, very Spinal Tap.

I was especially interested in the bassist John Paul Jones who doesn't normally feature in these types of documentaries with the focus on the lead singer or lead guitarist. I did not know he played as a session musician on the Shirley Bassey James Bond theme "Goldfinger" and countless others.

Last night I watched the "Becoming Led Zeppelin" documentary on Netflix. This 2 hour film showed how John Paul Jones, John Bonham, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant started their music careers before they came together to form Led Zeppelin. An excellent film covering the early years up to the 2nd album.

Watched "The Thursday Murder Club" on Netflix last night. Fantastic cast and genuinely funny with some hysterical scenes (I especially liked the live model art class). Very relatable to anyone who has parents at a retirement home (although not sure there are many in such grand stately homes)

It's good to be back in the Cape after 2 months away in the UK and Pretoria. Survived the 15-hour drive down yesterday, experiencing freezing cold in the Freestate, 35°C in the Karoo, and finally, torrential rain in Cape Town 🥶 🌞 🌧 🇿🇦

Started watching House of Guinness on Netflix. Episode 1 was a bit of a mess and didn't really grab me. Episode 2 was much better and had some excellent scenes and character development. Very Peaky Blinders looking in style. I'm excited to see where the story goes in the rest of the series.
