Elon Musk acts like the federal government is a giant computer. He’s like, “delete” these departments, “cut & paste” this money from this public service program to my bank acct., block this information from access, & if it all goes wrong we will just restart the computer. It’s not how it works bud!

How can a writer focus on their craft while this shit storm of crazy is going on around us here in the US?
I’m ready to submit a short story for publication but afraid distraction might interfere.

The ONLY reason I keep my acct at that other lame a$$ site is to complain about outlandish (and wrongly named) “customer service”. And for every glowing ad the business that has done me wrong puts up, I post a response about how awful the company is with a warning about how badly they treat people.

I recently realized my great resilience makes others overlook my need for love & care bc they assume I don’t need it.
I ran away at 5 bc I felt unloved. Now, at 65, I’m ready to run again.
Has my greatest strength become the source of my heartbreak?

And yet our “leaders” and billionaire businesses are uninterested in mitigating the threats because it’s not a money-maker apparently. Human greed knows no bounds -even if it means the demise of its own self.
The devastation on its way is unimaginable - like nothing humanity has ever witnessed before - and everyone will wish they had been climate activists and ‘hysterics’ when they had the chance. We are in a moment of unprecedented stupidity

MS written & refined, query letters sent, 1/2 dozen inspiring rejections, 1/2 dozen thoughtless ones. All the rest have been no response at all. For an industry where communication & writer’s stories drive the machine, why are the potential authors predominantly left out as if wholly insignificant?

I just got a totally unexpected invite out to dinner on Saturday from the neighbors. So sweet. They know my husband’s away and probably felt it would cheer me up. It does.
