"What are you doing here, Richard?" Gordon asked warmly. "You must rest after your trip."

Richard said, "I can't stop thinking about the terrible things the diesels said about us. It was awful, Gordon."

Poor engine, Gordon thought. He knew how cruel the diesels could be.
"Your line used to be run by other engines," said Oliver. "They were bigger than you but smaller than us."

"Yer foolin'," Mike replied.

"It's true," Oliver laughed. "Perhaps you will meet Duke one day."

"There's a Duke on Sodor?" Bert asked innocently.
It took a little bit, but thanks for 500 followers everyone!
"It's a splendid day," said Bert quietly to himself.
12 years apart. College, medical school, two kids, and lots of toil and sacrifice in between. Some wins and many losses, but loving life more than I ever have. In the first picture I was a naive college student, and in the second I’m a dad, doctor, and husband. I am so blessed.
Late one sunny afternoon, Gordon and Richard sit quietly along the quayside.
Hey guys, my Gmail account was hacked, which means that I lost access to all of my Thomas stories. I am trying to appeal but we will see what happens.

So inspired by @theburiedtruck.bsky.social and @skarloey123.bsky.social, I've been slowly building up a proper collection of Thomas stories to share.

But me being me, I've adapted myself to more than one era of the show -- Classic, HIT and CGI. Again, just because! 😂
Sodor: Dark Times was completed on June 23rd, 2009 at 4:50 am (I was definitely up all night editing it). It turned 15 years old this past June.
I mean, just listen to the Rakoczy March and tell me you can't see Duck speeding away from the running trucks: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iq1K...
In 2012, after having a vivid dream, I wrote a frenzied script for an emotional retelling of the Duck and Diesel trilogy. It was also heavily influenced by the music of Franz Liszt, and I planned to feature his music prominently if a film was ever made. It still gives me chills thinking about it.
"Diane, I'm in the town of Knapford at a railway station to meet a 'Sir Topham Hatt'. I can tell that he runs a tight ship. The trains working on his railway are friendly and hardworking, and remind me of the crew back in Philadelphia very much. Remind me to research how to be 'really useful'."
