“I had the most wonderful time ice skating with other #kindredspirits at The Skating Club of Boston! It was a treat to skate to different music across time, see so many unique costumes, and have a lot of fun as we used our imagination.”
“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. I am thrilled to travel from Avonlea to experience different Halloween celebrations with many kindred spirits in the Boston area. I will brave the Haunted Wood, trying not to imagine the most harrowing things!”

I felt a bit maroon on this fall day. I’m thankful for more seasonal weather.
On the first Friday of October, I’m wearing a new t-shirt that I feel sums up my mood and behavior at times in my life.
An update to this: Upon a rewatch of the contestant interviews, Rita explained that she was into calligraphy so they let her showcase her skills in a very cool way.
From a 1992 episode of “Where in the World is #CarmenSandiego?” I wonder why the production team didn’t have a proper nameplate for Rita, and instead had to write her name on a blank nameplate.

In my opinion, it’s important to have all details in place before presenting something to others!
From September 30, 2018: How #ClassicConcentration began airing on #BUZZR. Also, from today, September 26, 2025, the last new to the channel episode aired.

Thanks for entertaining and delighting game show fans with a show we’ve wanted to see again for decades over these past 7 years!
#ClassicConcentration, July 31, 1991: Alex opens the episode by briefly describing how guest announcer Art James was hired by NBC to announce the original Concentration series in 1958. This was quite fitting for what was Art’s last day filling in for regular announcer Gene Wood.
Recently, I bought a hardcover world atlas for myself. I had a couple of paperback world atlases when I was younger and have fond memories of leafing through them to learn about the world.

It’s been great to peer at these maps in a tactile manner to expand my geographical knowledge and horizons.
The first piece of my Halloween costume for this year came in the mail today. I love how it looks and I can’t wait for the rest of my costume to arrive tomorrow!
#ClassicConcentration, July 9, 1991: The show's regular announcer, Gene Wood, took leave as he was feeling ill. As a result, original Concentration announcer and game show legend Art James filled in for him for the rest of the month. This would be the last game show announcing of his career.
#ClassicConcentration, July 4, 1991: The show celebrates Independence Day for the third and final time with American flags on the set, patriotic bows on the cars, and themed prizes, including a trip to Washington D.C. and an Apple Macintosh computer. This was likely the final holiday themed episode.
It's 1991 and you have to turn in a report for your class the next day. Time to hit the encyclopedia set at home or in your library! #ClassicConcentration.
Starting next week, I’ll be skating and training with these talented people as part of the new #TeamExcel Open Masters #synchronizedskating team! I’m looking forward to learning a new program, building my skating skills, and forming a camaraderie with my teammates. It’s going to be a great season!
From the 1988 #CardSharks PC game, this question is quite timely given our political and social climate. I wonder if the actual number would be much higher given our connected nature and media/information consumption habits.
It's almost the end of summer, but you can still look cool by rocking your shades. #ClassicConcentration #Buzzr
The results are in! Here's a look at my first photos captured on film in 17 years. They were taken using a Kodak Ultra F9 camera with Kodak Gold 200 film. I love how delightfully old-school and low-fi they are.
Today, I began to break in my new #EdeaSkates with #JohnWilson #CoronationAce blades. Compared to my previous skates, I noticed the blades are shorter, allowing me to do various techniques with ease.
I look forward to breaking these skates in further and improving my skating skills in the process.
I enjoyed skating in my first ever 5K! I took to the ice and skated 28 laps at The #SkatingClubofBoston Tenley Albright Performance Center to raise money to honor the memory of the skaters who lost their lives in January. They are #AlwaysChampions and I’m glad the skating community came together.
I’m happy to announce that I bought my first new pair of figure skates in 8 years! These #EdeaSkates #IceFly skates and Wilson #CoronationAce blades will serve me well as I take more lessons, compete in the next #Synchro season, and perform in shows organized by The #SkatingClubofBoston!
On this #nationalphotographyday, I want to share that I began capturing different sights, subjects, and events on film for the first time in 17 years. With this Kodak Ultra F9 plus some 35mm film, I have enjoyed the tactile nature of capturing different moments. I can’t wait to see the results!
It seems the lobster I held has taken to wearing a lobster claw headband for effect. They’re also guarding some paperwork. #CranberryCup
