Anbernic’s first 2026 devices, the #RGVita and #RGVitaPro, have been announced. I’ve always liked Vita-inspired handhelds, but I probably won’t pick one up since I already have the Thor Pro, Odin 3 Pro, and RG477M. Curious to see Anbernic’s pricing and who these are really aimed at. Thoughts?

Just finished testing 20 Steam games on the #Odin3 Pro and #AYNThor Pro:
Odin 3 Pro: Plug-and-play 8 Elite chip, all games ran well.
Thor Pro: Slightly behind; struggled with performance and compatibility. Turnip drivers didn’t help much.

I was on the fence about buying Destiny 2 Renegades as my new year holidays game, but god damn it @skillup.bsky.social is just too good at convincing me to try new games I haven't tried before so I decided to go with Arc Raiders instead.

I’ve published a deep dive on running Steam games on the #RG477M with #GameHub Lite. Great: Ball x Pit, Celeste, Hades, Silksong. Playable: Sea of Stars, Chrono Trigger (PC). Mixed: Octopath Traveler II. Not playable: Hades 2, Mark of the Ninja (2012).

Trying Steam on the #RG477M with #GameHubLite. Celeste and Stardew were smooth, Octopath II felt fine on High CPU, Hades needed the Performance preset, Silksong was excellent. Megabonk dipped, Hades 2 would not run. I put the settings in a free write‑up if you need a starting point. Video out soon!
Got a modded #3DS? You can play that whole library on Android with better performance and keep your saves. I cover CXI/CIA dumps (GodMode9), save backups (Checkpoint), imports to Azahar, and a quicker bulk method using threeSD on PC. Tested on #RG477M, solid on #AYNThor and #PocketDS.

The only thing left is for Valve to nail the pricing. Everything they’ve shown looks exciting, but the real game changer is the price. If they subsidise it like the Steam Deck, I think the competition, especially Microsoft, will struggle to keep up.
